A SHOOTING at a business headquarters in Orlando, Florida has left five people dead, including the gunman, US media reports.

CNN reported that the killing was being investigated as a work-related incident and that there is no connection to terrorism.

“OCSO working shooting scene that has stabilized. Multiple fatalities. Situation contained. Sheriff will brief as soon as info is accurate,” Orlando’s Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet earlier on Monday.

In a later tweet the Sherrif’s Office called it a “tragic incident”.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, a woman whose sister worked at the business where the shooting took place said her sister had heard shots while she was in the bathroom. “She came out and saw a man on the floor,” the woman said.

A nearby road to the crime scene had been shut down, the paper said.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office tweeted that it would make a statement soon and brief the media on what has happened.

A year ago, the city - a hub of Florida’s resort industry popular with tourists - was the scene of a mass shooting in a gay nightclub that left 49 people dead and dozens more wounded.
