The Next TikTok Shutdown Is Likely to Be Longer

TikTok’s Chinese owners, as the whole world knows, was forced by Congress, Joe Biden’s White House and the Supreme Court to divest the app. President Donald Trump, who had his own political priorities in mind, ignored the ban, however.

But millions of American TikTokers, who joyfully returned to the app after less than 24 hours in the dark in January, may soon find themselves shut out again — this time for good. The current delay expires June 19. As that date approaches, users should gear up for a much longer exile.
