8 year oldIn addition the standard iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models, the line-up will include an all new iPhone 7 Pro.
The iPhone 7 will stick with the 4.7-inch display, while the 7 Plus and 7 Pro will be 5.5-inch.
So if the Plus and Pro are the same size, what will the difference be?
That’s a very good question.
Until recently, it was suggested the iPhone 7 Pro would include a number of “premium features” including a dual lens camera.
However, leading iPhone analyst Ming-Chi Kuo — who has a successful track record at predicting Apple’s iPhone release plans — said all 5.5-inch iPhones would have the dual camera.
“Dual-camera to become a must-have feature for high-end smartphone,” Mr Kuo said, reports9to5Mac.
“The initial market response to Huawei’s (CN) new flagship dual-camera model, P9, has been better than expected, and we estimate shipments may reach 10mn units in 2016F.
“In our view, more high-end smartphones will adopt this feature going forward.
“In order to maintain its leading position in the high-end market, we expect Apple will fully adopt dual-camera on the new 5.5-inch iPhone in 2H16.”
For many, this indicated the iPhone 7 Pro was all but dead, but a new leaked image claims to prove Apple is going ahead with all three models.
According to mobile technology website Mobipicker, an insider sent a screenshot confirming Apple has an “iPhone 7”, “iPhone 7 Plus”, and “iPhone 7 Plus premium” in the works.
The assembly is reportedly being completed by Foxconn and Pegatron, which are the companies previously reasonable for building the devices.
No other details are given about what exclusive features with 7 Pro will have, but if all of these rumours are true, Apple must have some tricks up its sleeve.
