Wilder went up against Robert Helenius and in a devastating display, the powerful American landed only three punches on his opponent.
It was the third that turned the lights out.
As Helenius attempted to rush the former champ, Wilder stood in the corner and launched a right hand counter that landed clean on the face of Helenius and instantly sent him crashing to the canvas.
Wilder’s three-punch knockout victory is the fewest punches ever needed to secure a win.

Wilder torched his way through the heavyweight division with his nuke-like right hand power and climbed his way to the mountain top.
It’s Wilder’s first knockout victory inside the ring since November 2019 when he demolished Luis Ortiz.
The 36-year-old, known as “The Bronze Bomber”, put the rest of his rivals on notice and after the resounding victory was ready for any challenger that wanted him.
From Andy Ruiz to Oleksandr Usyk, Wilder wants a piece of everyone as he attempts to climb the mountain once again.
“I’m down for whatever. Whether it’s Andy Ruiz, whether it’s [Oleksandr] Usyk. The Bronze Bomber is back!” he said.
Fans watching on couldn’t believe the showing the former champ put on in less than one round of pure destruction.

Before Wilder returned to the ring, the co-main fight had the boxing world off their seats as Caleb Plant delivered a nasty knockout against Anthony Dirrell.
Plant was fighting for the first time since his TKO defeat at the hands of Canelo Alvarez and copped a wave of trash talk from Dirrell who said over and again his opponent didn’t have knockout power.
Plant changed that in the ninth round when a left hook landed flush on Dirrell’s jaw and sent him to the canvas in a heap as the referee quickly waved the fight off.
“He called me all sorts of names, even said ‘I’ll never let a white boy beat me.’ Let me explain something... skin colour don’t win fights,” Plant said.
Fans were left in disbelief over the hellacious punch that ended it all.
PPV.com tweeted: “HOLY SH!T…did we just witness KO of the year?”
Boxing Scene writer Jake Donovan wrote: “Perfect left hook by Caleb Plant as Dirrell reacted to prior body shot, dropped his guard and got slept.”
Television personality Steelo Brim wrote: “That Caleb Plant knockout was CRAZY!”
NY Post write Jared Schwartz wrote: “Caleb Plant unloads an absolutely vicious left hand to KO Anthony Dirrell in the ninth round.”
