Normally Toronto fans would rejoice over Dwyane Wade throwing up a bunch of bricks. But not when the arena and its inhabitants are trying to honor Canada. Before the Raptors’ 95-91 win over the Heat on Saturday in Miami, with Toronto taking a 2-1 series lead, Wade went right on chucking through “Oh Canada.” As the rest of the Heat lined up around the foul line, while fans stood and paid respect, Wade hovered around the baseline, desperate to get a few more shots in before the game started. The extra practice may have worked — he finished 13-of-25 for 38 points, albeit in a losing effort. It will be interesting to see the NBA’s reaction.
