8 year oldEd and Fran Gargiula have been married 52 years, and for the last 18 months, they’ve worn matching outfits.
It all started about 10 years ago when they’d wear matching outfits for their square dances.
“They were really big in the square-dancing world and they would order coordinating outfits for the square dances,” the couple’s son, Rich Gargiula, told ABC News. “They always had dances on Saturday nights. They’d go to church before the square dances, and if they we weren’t matching everyone would ask, ‘Where are your matching outfits?’ My mom thought they should just match every day so people get a chuckle out of it.”
And people certainly are chuckling.
The adorable couple texts their grandson, Anthony Gargiula, a photo of their matching outfits every morning.
“Every morning now for the last month or so, they wake up and when they get dressed they text it to Anthony saying, ‘Good morning from your matching grandparents,’” said Rich, Anthony’s father.
After Anthony posted a few of the photos on Twitter, social media exploded with their obsession for his grandparents’ twinning outfits.
His tweet has now been liked nearly 80,000 times and retweeted nearly 40,000 times

The couple also strategically plans their matching outfits to wear to their grandson’s performances.
“My son is a performer and when my parents would go, they’d make sure to wear very vibrant, matching outfits so he could see them from the stage,” Rich explained.
