4 year oldLarry Edgeworth, who was an audio technician at the network’s 30 Rockerfeller Plaza headquarters in Midtown and worked in the equipment room, died from the disease Thursday, NBC News Chairman Andy Lack said in an email to staff members.
“Many of you were fortunate enough to work with Larry over the years, so you know that he was the guy you wanted by your side no matter where you were,” Lack said.

Edgeworth leaves behind a wife and two sons, network executives said.
“We are doing everything we can to support his family during this very difficult time,” Lack wrote.
