David Gallagher – better known as Simon Camden in 7th Heaven – has resurfaced on social media looked absolutely nothing like his younger self.
David Gallagher, the actor who played Simon Camden in 7th Heaven, looked unrecognisable at 90s Con over the weekend.
Sporting a smooth head and bushy beard, the former child star, now 39, took part in a cast reunion alongside his former co-stars, Beverly Mitchell, Catherine Hicks, Barry Watson and Mackenzie Rosman, reports Page Six.
Gallagher told The Sun that he’s no longer acting — he’s a stay-at-home dad to his six-year-old daughter — but was thrilled to reunite with his old castmates for the convention in Hartford, Connecticut.
Gallagher appeared in Look Who’s Talking Now opposite John Travolta and Kirstie Alley before nabbing the role of middle son Simon Camden.
On Saturday, Mitchell shared a collage of photos from the convention on Instagram.
“Beyond grateful for these crazy humans that I call family! To say that this was needed was an understatement, my heart is full and I have been so blessed to love and laugh with them! Thanks you @thats4ent for brining (sp) us together for #90scon I love you,” she wrote alongside them.
The reunited cast even poked fun at an infamously cheesy episode when the show’s matriarch (Catherine Hicks) dramatically confessed to having smoked pot in her youth, shocking her straitlaced husband.
Missing from the reunion was Jessica Biel, who played Mary Camden.
However, Mitchell admitted they FaceTimed with Biel. She further said, “There is a whole lotta love in this group.”
Also missing from the reunion was the show’s patriarch Stephen Collins who admitted in 2014 that he committed “inappropriate sexual conduct with three female minors” in 1973, 1982, and 1994.
The long-running drama, which ran for 10 seasons from 1996 to 2007, centred around Reverend Eric Camden, a Protestant minister living in California, with his wife and seven children. The series finale aired on May 13, 2007.
