1 year oldSam Asghari reportedly claimed his estranged wife, Britney Spears, violently attacked him while he was sleeping, leaving him with a black eye, reports Page Six.
Sources told TMZ that the former personal trainer “frequently complained” about Spears allegedly becoming physical with him during their seven-year relationship.
The insider told the outlet that the former couple has allegedly been in several fights where security has had to step in.
However, for this alleged attack, there was no security around.
Asghari, 29, was reportedly sleeping in their bed when Spears, 41, allegedly “flew off the handle and began punching him.”
TMZ reports that the model “did not strike back, but was stunned as his wife pummeled him.”
The alleged incident reportedly occurred earlier this year — around the time Asghari was spotted with an apparent black eye and bite marks on his arm.
When the photographers ask him about the notable bruising, he tried to play it off and asked the paparazzi not to photograph him.
Sources also told TMZ that Asghari was “concerned” because his wife had a fascination with knives.
The insiders told the outlet that Spears had knives all around the house — including in their bedroom.
The source said the Grammy winner “was paranoid someone was going to get her, and she needed the knives as protection,” adding that Asghari was scared because she would allegedly “fly off the handle” at the smallest things.

Page Six has reached out to Asghari’s manager, who declined to comment. His lawyer did not immediately return a request for comment.
The outlet also reached out to Spears’ rep but did not immediately hear back.
Asghari filed for divorce from Spears after only one year of marriage yesterday, citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to court docs obtained by Page Six.
He listed their separation date as July 28.
The model also released a statement on Instagram Stories on day after the news.
“After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always,” he wrote.
“Sh*t happens. Asking for privacy seems rediculous (sic) so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”
Spears has not publicly acknowledged the split, but she seemed unbothered as she posted on Instagram about wanting to purchase a horse after the news broke.
