The former POTUS and FLOTUS have been married since 1992.

Michelle Obama shared a sweet post to commemorate Barack Obama’s 63rd birthday.

In her post shared on Sunday, the former First Lady, 60, shared a snapshot of herself with the former president dressed in athletic wear, pushing a large boulder in a rocky desert landscape.

Happy birthday to the love of my life, @BarackObama! Here’s to weathering all of life’s storms and moving mountains together. ❤️” she wrote in the caption.According to People, the couple first met in 1989 while working together at a Chicago, Illinois-based law firm. Michelle was reluctant to date him because they were co-workers. She only agreed to go on a date with Barack when he offered to quit his job. They became engaged in 1991 and tied the knot the following year.

Six years later, they welcomed their first child, Malia, on July 4, 1998. Their second daughter Sasha arrived on June 10, 2001.

Just eight years later, their family would move to Washington D.C. after Barack, then representing Illinois in the U.S. Senate, was elected the 44th President of the United States, per People.

However, their love story has been far from perfect. The former FLOTUS spoke to podcaster Jay Shetty about the challenges of their marriage earlier this year.

"I don’t want people looking at me and Barack like hashtag couple goals and not know that no, no, there are some broken things that happen even in the best of marriages,” she said.

"[During] year five, I might have had hurt feelings and it would've taken days to rectify it. Year 30? It's like, 'Ah, there she goes again or there he goes again,'" she said further into the episode. "I know how to talk to him about it and when because we've practiced it. We've made a lot of mistakes, we've gotten it wrong and after 31 years, we're getting better at it."
