Just weeks after confirming she and Prince Harry had to ditch their “royal” titles, Meghan Markle’s bio has undergone a subtle – but significant – edit.
Meghan Markle’s transition away from royal life includes a title change.
The Smart Works charity that Meghan is a patron of scrubbed “royal” and “HRH” references on its website, according to People. Currently, her page identifies Meghan as “Our Patron, The Duchess of Sussex”, whereas the page previously identified her as “Our Royal Patron HRH The Duchess of Sussex”.
Last January, Meghan, 38, joined Smart Works, a charity that helps unemployed women prepare to enter the workforce with professional apparel and interview training. In September, she launched her first capsule collection for the organisation that included a shirt, trousers, a dress, blazer, and tote bag.
Meghan and Harry wrapped up their farewell tour in the UK earlier this month where they joined Prince William, Kate Middleton, and other members of the royal family for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.
The Sussexes will begin their royal-free life officially on April 1. They have since relocated to Canada.
