Glacier water can contain parasites and traces of fecal matter.
Ludacris appears to be doing just fine.
On Monday, the “Roll Out” rapper responded to fans worried about him after he posted a video of himself drinking glacier water in Alaska. According to some commenters, glacier water can contain parasites and bacteria.
Later that night, Luda posted a clip discussing how the water tasted and how it felt to drink it, though he didn’t specifically respond to fans’ concerns.
“Yo, for everybody asking me how that glacier water really tasted—when I tell y’all I’m a water snob,” he said, adding, “It was the best tasting water I’ve ever had in my life, and as I drank it, I felt like every cell in my human body was being hydrated and rejuvenated at the same damn time.”

Complex also posted the clip of Luda drinking the water on Instagram. He later commented under it, writing, "@souljaboy you got 24 hours to respond," a playful nod to Soulja Boy always claiming he did something first.
In Luda's original IG clip of him drinking the water, he can be seen standing on the edge of a glacier, surrounded by more glaciers and clear blue water (that does look quite appetizing).
“Half the world’s glaciars are here in Alaska,” he explained. “I couldn’t come here and just have a show. You know, I got a bucket list—or as I like to call it, the fuck it list. I’ve never tasted fresh [glacier] water ever in my life and this is a first. Here we go,” he said, bending down to fill his cup.”
After taking one sip, he exclaimed, “Oh my god! Oh!” and ran off camera.

O’Shea Jackson was among many who expressed concern for Ludacris on X, quote-tweeting the original video and writing, “How long ago did he shoot this and have we been monitoring him?”
In a follow-up tweet, he posted a TikTok of a man describing how sick he got after drinking glacier water, saying he was ill for two weeks.
I see a lot of people name calling but still water is still water. Boil that shit and make it cold again. Shoutout to @big_business_ I saw this video on his post about the same thing pic.twitter.com/RcpzEI1fCb

According to GreenMatters.com, glacier water isn’t safe to drink because there’s human fecal matter in it, and drinking water that isn’t purified or filtered isn’t recommended.
