8 year oldRaven-Symoné will be able to predict the future in her next role — and “The View” isn’t anywhere in sight.
Symoné is leaving the ABC chatfest at the end of the year to star in a spinoff of her hit comedy series “That’s So Raven” for Disney Channel, the Daily News has learned.
Symoné will leave New York for Los Angeles to reprise her comical role as Raven Baxter, a teen psychic she played on the kid's network from 2003 to 2007. The 30-year-old star will serve as an executive producer.
The actress’ exit from “The View” does not come as a shock. Symoné has been given less screen time, only appearing about once a week on the morning show that’s become a revolving door for hosts.
The current panel of rotating co-hosts features Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure, Paula Faris, Sara Haines, Jedediah Bila, Sunny Hostin and moderator Whoopi Goldberg. Symoné’s exit comes as “The View” continues to focus on national politics with the upcoming presidential election.
The next installment of the Disney show will follow Raven, a divorced mother of two pre-teens, one of whom inherits her psychic ability to see into the future.
