7 year oldA FEW months ago Victoria Beckham shared a photo of her family on the set of Modern Family and the rumour mill went into overdrive.
Did this mean that Posh and the kids were going to be guest stars on the hit sitcom?
No, they’re not, according to Jesse Tyler Ferguson (who plays Mitchell Pritchett). It turns out the Beckhams are just obsessed with Modern Family.
As Ferguson explained to Ellen DeGeneres: “I ran into Victoria Beckham and her lovely husband David outside of a SoulCycle class, which is a thing we do in LA.”
“And they were like, ‘We love the show. Can we take a photo of you and David for our kids?’ And I was like, ‘Sure, I’ll take a photo with David Beckham.’ And then I was like, ‘You know, if you wanted to come by the set, you certainly can.’ I gave her my number. I was like, ‘She’s never going to text me.’”
But Beckham did indeed text Ferguson — less than an hour later.
“I get out of my SoulCycle class and there’s like nine texts from Victoria. She’s like, ‘When are we going? Why aren’t you answering? Pick up your phone, I want to come by the set,’” Ferguson told DeGeneres on her talk show.
“So they ended up coming by and the whole family came and everyone on set was so excited, and they’re like, ‘Do you know who’s visiting the set today? The entire Beckham family!’ I was like, ‘I know, they’re my guests!’ And they’re like, ‘How do you know the Beckhams?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t!’”
Ferguson added that David and Posh are “lovely people” and that their kids are “incredibly well behaved”.
There are currently no plans for them to appear on the show in an official capacity, but Modern Family has recently been renewed for another two seasons so who knows what the future holds?
