7 year oldMadonna has taken a swipe at Kendall Jenner over the model’s recent ad campaign that has gone viral for all the wrong reasons, The Sun reports.
Madonna, 58, let her opinion on the soft drink fiasco be known by posting a shot of her all in red with Pepsi’s competitor, Coca-Cola.
Captioned with just a first-place gold medal, Madonna appeared to throw shade at the model.
Her fans would’ve expected no less from a singer who has perhaps faced more controversy than any other woman in the industry.
Back in 1989, Pepsi had to pull another ad campaign — one which starred Madonna — following calls from religious groups and even the pope to boycott the soft drink.
Like a Prayer was the soundtrack to the Pepsi ad that featured Madonna watching home footage of her childhood before revisiting her former school and encouraging all the uniformed students to break loose and dance to the pop anthem.
However, the next day the actual music video for Like a Prayer debuted, and at the time it caused huge controversy for its use of cross-burning and Madonna kissing a black saint.
The pop legend shared Jenner’s Pepsi ad yesterday with the caption: “When you wake up and realize that s**t just really don’t make sense! Side Note: My Pepsi commercial was pulled 30 years ago because I was kissing a black saint! #ironic.”
Following Pepsi’s decision to pull the ad after it was only shown once on television, Madonna still got to keep the $US5 million advance fee.
Other critics of Jenner’s Pepsi ad include Bernice King, a daughter of Martin Luther King Jr., who took to Twitter to blast the ad campaign.

Pepsi has since pulled Jenner’s campaign and apologised for involving her.
