4 year oldLeading up to the release of Lady Gaga's long-awaited sixth album, Chromatica, the "Stupid Love" singer posed naked for the cover of Paper magazine, showing off her stupidly toned butt.
In the photo, a naked cyborg-esque Gaga appears hooked up to multiple machines, with her back arched and arms reaching up.
The publication's cover story explained how the photoshoot went down, with Gaga noting the importance of feeling safe and in control on set. "I consent to being nude with everyone in this room," Lady Gaga said, per Paper, before taking off a custom Versace robe emblazoned with her name on the back in crystals. "I believe we're making art, this isn't pornography."
So... how did Gaga get such a show-off-able butt? Her trainer, Harley Pasternak, told Us Weekly that she does 35-minute strength training sessions five days a week, and that she gets her cardio from performing. Gaga's workouts are full-body and include bicycle crunches, seated Russian Twists, reverse crunches, and dumbbell side bends. Gaga also does skater lunges (for that booty), overhead dumbbell triceps extensions (for those arms), and lateral dumbbell raises (for her shoulders).
And Gaga also credits her fit bod to practicing yoga on the reg."She does yoga whenever she can," a source also told Us Weekly, "not just for the physical element but for the mental side as well."
The source added that Gaga "loves being outside, at the beach or on a bike ride" and "when she’s getting fresh air... she’s always happiest."
As for her diet, Gaga is apparently really big on veggies. Her longtime friend and chef Bo O'Connor told The New Potato that Gaga's favorite meals are "dishes with lots of vegetables and quinoa." When she's touring, Gaga likes solid snacks like grain chips, tofu, turkey slices, hummus, and coconut water, her choreographer, LaurieAnn Gibson, also told People.
Clearly, that combo of diet and exercise is working for her—big time.
