8 year oldThe young couple are reportedly moving into the former One Direction star’s luxurious mansion in LA.
The pair have been together for nine months and briefly split earlier this summer but their relationship has gone from strength to strength ever since, reports The Sun.
A source told The Mirror that the singer has given Gigi free reign to spruce up his pad as she spends so much time there.
An insider said: “Zayn and Gigi have moved in together in LA and he’s busy furnishing and buying paintings to change it up and make it more of a couple’s pad.”
It’s believed 21-year-old Hadid will keep her pad in New York where they also spend a lot of their time.
A source added: “They cherish every moment together and make sure they’re never apart for longer than 10 days so it made sense for her to move in officially.”
Malik has opened up about his anxiety issues since pulling out of the Summertime Ball in June and revealed how he prefers to chill out with Hadid than go out partying.
The insider continued: “Zayn prefers a cosy night with Gigi than showbiz parties so it’s important she feels comfortable.
“He appreciates her so much more after her support when he had to pull out of the Capital FM Summertime Ball with anxiety.
“Zayn sees how much Gigi is there for him. They’re mutually passionately in love.”
The Bradford-born star recently told ELLE magazine that “entire life has changed in the last year”.
“I’m still taking it all in. I’ve found so much out about myself. Mostly how in love with music I still was.”
His move echoes that of what fellow boyband member Robbie Williams did in 2004.
After Robbie quit Take That in 1995 he moved to Los Angeles a few years later to escape the success and pressure being the chart-topping group had brought on him.
Malik, 23, said he tried to get home as much as he can to spend time with his family and be himself.
He said: “When I go back to Bradford they treat me exactly the same. It’s why I only ever go back for a few days, otherwise they have me taking out the bins.”
speaking about his other half, he gushed: “She’s super intelligent. I think that’s why it works so well. And we do the same type of job so we get that with each other.”
