As rumours swirl over his marriage to Gisele Bündchen, Tom Brady has addressed speculation he could retire from the NFL mid-season.
The NY Post reports the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback told reporters on Friday (AEDT): “No retirement in my future.”

Brady, 45, is in the middle of his 23rd NFL season, having come back to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after initially announcing his retirement in the off-season.

His retirement lasted just over a month, and juding by his words a second one doesn’t exactly seem right around the corner.

Perhaps his impending marital status may give him a bit more free time.

It has been widely reported that his marriage to supermodel Gisele Bündchen is on the rocks, with Page Six reporting they had both retained divorce lawyers.

Bündchen has not been seen at any of Brady’s games with the Buccaneers this season.

NFL analysts had speculated that the off-the-field drama could lead to Brady calling it quits in the middle of the season.

Through six games and an uneven 3-3 start, Brady has thrown for 1,652 yards, eight touchdowns and one interception. This past weekend, the Buccaneers were upset by Mitch Trubisky and the Steelers.

Brady has an agreement to join Fox as the top TV analyst for a whopping A$540 million over 10 years once the day comes he finally decides to hang it up. However, according to him, that day will not be today.
