6 year oldAttorney Michael Avenatti, who became famous for representing Stormy Daniels in her defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump, was arrested for suspected domestic violence on Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
TMZ first reported that Avenatti’s estranged wife filed a report with the LAPD after the alleged incident occurred on Tuesday. However, in a statement to BuzzFeed News, attorneys for Avenatti’s estranged wife, Lisa Storie-Avenatti, contradicted TMZ’s report, asserting that she was not present in Avenatti’s apartment on the date of the alleged incident.
5:50 PM PT -- Avenatti bailed out and held a brief news conference, saying, "I have never struck a woman. I will never strike a woman." He added he's looking forward to the investigation and is confident he'll be "fully exonerated."
