5 year oldA federal judge in Chicago on Tuesday ordered R&B singer R. Kelly be held in jail without bond on sex crime charges, according to several reporters present in the courtroom.
Prosecutors wanted asked he remain in custody because they told the judge he is dangerous and a flight risk.
Kelly pleaded not guilty on a 13-count indictment in U.S. District Court that same day.
The disgraced singer and songwriter has been held in Metropolitan Correction Center in Chicago since his arrest last Thursday on accusations of illegal sex with him and then covered up the crimes by paying and threatening the victims and witnesses.
