Hollywood’s night of nights – the Oscars – is finally over, and all the winners have been revealed following a spectacular night.
First, it was all about the red carpet, with the likes of Ariana Grande and Margot Robbie stepping out in stunning gowns.
The awards ceremony kicked off at 10am, and Oppenheimer led nominations with a whopping 13 nods.
UK actress Emily Blunt was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Oppenheimer, but ultimately lost to The Holdovers’ Da’vine Joy Randolph.
A sweet moment she shared with husband John Krasinski in the lead up to the award being announced is going viral online. As presenters geared up to present the award, Krasinski grabbed his wife’s hand, holding it tight as they awaited to find out the winner.
It certainly pours cold water over rumours the pair discussed getting a “divorce” at the Golden Globes in January, in a red carpet clip that exploded on social media.
It was one of the tightest Oscars races in years, but in the end Oppenheimer came out on top and walked away with Best Picture.
Emma Stone scored her second Best Actress gong for Poor Things, while Cillian Murphy received rapturous applause after being announced as Best Actor.
