7 year oldThe LAPD has opened a second investigation into disgraced former Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein. Police are investigating allegations of lewd conduct by Weinstein in a 2015 incident, LAPD public information officer Tony Im confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Another investigation of sexual assault in 2013 by Weinstein is already under way by the LAPD. In addition to these two investigations, the NYPD, Beverly Hills PD and London's Metropolitan Police, known as Scotland Yard, are also looking into allegations against Weinstein.
NYPD opened an investigation against Weinstein last month and announced on Friday that they "have an actual case." “We are happy with where the investigation is right now. Mr. Weinstein is out of state, so we would need an arrest warrant to arrest him. So, right now we are gathering our evidence. We continue to do so every day," Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said during a news conference on New York crime statistics. "This is a collaborative effort between us and the district attorney of New York. So we'll work together to get this done."
Beverly Hills PD launched an investigation of Weinstein and director James Toback, who has been accused of harassment and assault by hundreds of women. "These cases are under investigation and no further information will be released at this time," a spokesperson said in a statement.
London's Metropolitan Police said they are investigating allegations over incidents that allegedly took place between the 1980s through 2015.
