8 year oldWeeks after the terrifying heist, 32-year-old Khloe revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that her older sister is still in shock.
“She’s not doing that well. It’s incredibly traumatic what happened to her, but our family is super close and great and we’ll get through it together,” she said, according to Us Weekly. “We do appreciate all of your guys’ love and support. It will take time. It was horrible what happened to her.”
Earlier this month, five masked gunmen gagged and bound Kim at her Paris apartment before stealing more than $14 million in jewellery. The 35-year-old feared for her life, but was not hurt, and has not commented on the attack.
“I think it’s just a wake-up call to make a lot of life adjustments,” Khloe said. “This is a really serious matter and for Kim I think it’s very personal for when that emotional terror — [when] you can move on from that. I think for us it’s all a wake-up call for all of us but just definitely to make sure that our sister is OK.”
She added: “[We want to] make sure that we are protected as well as possible. Like I said, we are a family and we will do this together and I think it is important to maybe make those adjustments. And [to] pull back a little bit is always smart.”
Meanwhile, a Halloween costume inspired by Kim’s robbery — and which appears to depict her being gagged and bound — has some consumers up in arms.
Retailer Costumeish’s “Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume Kit” comes with a long black wig, white robe, a fake gag and robe. For $US69.99, it also includes a plastic “$4 million dollar” ring reminiscent of the diamond one Kim lost in the heist.
Outraged shoppers bagged the costume under the “reviews” section of the retailer’s website.
One wrote: “Yes, I only can say shame on you and the lots of you who think it’s normal to make fun off such a traumatising experience! I hope those of you calling this a publicity stunt ends up being gagged, assaulted and worse. Then we’ll see if that’s still funny!”
Another wrote: “People who think this is funny should be ashamed of themselves whether you like or hate the Kardashians. And the company are disgusting you should remove this.”

Costumeish vice president Johnathon Weeks defended the ensemble — but admitted no-one has yet purchased it.
“I’m sad that people are offended by it, but it is Halloween: it’s one day out of the year,” Weeks told BuzzFeed. “Halloween should be a lighthearted, spirited party and people should be able to laugh at it and think it’s funny.”
Meanwhile, Kim’s momanger Kris Jenner broke her silence over her daughter’s horrific ordeal, sharing a grave message on social media.
“Every morning is a reminder of how blessed we are,” she posted on Instagram. “Today I am grateful for my family, who I love more than words can explain. Count your blessings, be grateful always, and cherish every moment you spend with your loved ones.”
