7 year oldWHEN it comes to throwing parties, the Kardashians aren’t known for showing restraint - so it’s no surprise Kim’s baby shower was spectacularly OTT.
THE celebration of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s baby’s impending arrival was never going to be a low-key affair.
Even by the reality TV family’s OTT standards, the baby shower held over the weekend was lavish.
Kardashian, who is said to be expecting her third child via surrogate “before Christmas”, went all out, turning her Los Angeles mansion into a floral forest with hundreds of fake cherry blossom trees filling every space as part of her “tea for three” event.
It’s believed the pink theme may have been a hint that Kardashian and West are expecting a girl.
The reality TV star decorated the rustic wooden tables with simple glassware and accessories, allowing the pink backlit trees to remain the main feature of the room.
Among the names on the star-studded guest list were members of Kardashian’s family including Khloe, who — despite persistent rumours of a pregnancy — showed no sign of a baby bump.
Kris, Kylie and Kendall Jenner were also there to celebrate their newest family member, along with close friends Chrissy Teigen and Maria Menounos.
Kardashian shared on Instagram that she was giving crystals as party favours, as well as fragrances from her new perfume line.
The expectant couple are already parents to North, 4, and Saint, 2.
It was revealed in July that they had enlisted a surrogate “in her 20s” to help them add to their family.
After news broke, Kardashian and West went to extreme lengths to ensure the woman was given around-the-clock security.
The coupled moved her into a new home in the suburbs of LA and provided state-of-the-art security equipment, as well as a personal security team and even a driver — all at an estimated cost of around $US1.5 million.
