7 year oldLast week, we spoke about Jennifer Hudson and the custody bout she and her estranged fiance David Otunga have been engaged in since they broke up. As we reported earlier, Hudson filed an order of protection against Otunga because she said he brought a prop gun into their shared home.
Hudson said given the gun violence that claimed the lives of her nephew, mother and brother, it was particularly threatening, hence the need for the order of protection.
Later, she dropped the order, allowing the former couple’s son, David Otunga Jr. to spend Thanksgiving with his father.
Now, TMZ is reporting that the two have reached a temporary custody agreement which grants Otunga primary custody of David Jr. for the majority of the time. Hudson is currently in London shooting “The Voice UK” and simultaneously shooting “The Voice” in Los Angeles.
Otunga argued that due to Jennifer’s traveling schedule since their son was first born, he’s been his primary caregiver. Now the two both acknowledge that their 8-year-old will be in his care until they come up with another agreement.
While he has been granted custody, Otunga will not be moving back into the home the three of them shared together.
