8 year oldLast week, Birdman stopped by The Breakfast Club for an interview, but he didn’t have much to say. Birdman sat down and immediately addressed the radio hosts: “All three of y’all stop playing with my name. Stop playing with my fuckin’ name… When my name comes up, respect it.”
He then spoke to C-harlamagne directly, telling him, “I knew a few places you was at. I could’ve pulled up. But I thought that was gangsta. I wanted to look you in the face like a man and tell you how I feel.”
Birdman was possibly unhappy with The Breakfast Club’s previous interviews with Trick Daddy and Rick Ross, in which Cash Money’s business practices were discussed. Afterwards, Birdman reportedly apologized and said that he’d be happy to go back on the show, but that wasn’t until after Young Thug got involved via an Instagram video threatening to have C-harlamagne tortured.
Thug is laughing in the clip, so hopefully it’s not that serious and now that things are settled between Birdman and The Breakfast Club, this won’t escalate. It is interesting, though, to see Young Thug stepping in to defend Birdman’s honor. Last year, the two were together on a regular basis, but they haven’t been around each other as much recently (it looks as though Lyor Cohen has taken over that role). With news that Thug is featured on the upcoming Rich Gang album and now this video, it’s a sign that Birdman and Young Thug are still on good terms.
As far as the torture threats go, C-harlamagne is staying in and playing it safe for now. “Who wants to go out in the streets when you’ve got Young Thug out here saying he wants to torture me!? I don’t wanna get tortured by Young Thug!”
UP-DATE: Thug commented on Twitter, saying he’d never put his hands on a radio guy.
