8 year oldThe Sun reports that the actress is believed to have ditched plans to file a police report over the clash at the couple’s Los Angeles home last month.
The change of heart comes after the 52-year-old got into an al-tercation with one of his own bodyguards.
The bodyguard was trying to persuade Depp to return to the Royal Hotel bar in Denmark about 2:30am, but Depp preferred to continue partying and swigging Champagne at a concert afterparty.
“His bodyguard had his hand on his shoulder and was trying to get him to go back inside, but Johnny refused to go,” a source said. “The bodyguard got more and more persistent but Johnny didn’t want to go ... and he definitely drank his fair share of alcohol.”
Photographs show the tattooed Depp — clad in a brown-and-black vest and white shirt — glaring furiously at the bodyguard as he tried to lead him away f-rom several people.
It came as court documents filed by his estranged wife, Heard, highlighted three specific incidents of abuse; in December 2015, on April 21 and on May 21.
But according to the 30-year-old actress, Depp was “physically and verbally abusive” for the “entirety” of their relationship. Depp strenuously denies the allegations.
Sources close to Heard have told TMZ that the actress will not file a police report against because she still loves Depp.
That is a sharp change f-rom her lawyer’s comments earlier in the week whe-re it was claimed Heard would file a police reports because of the smears against her c-haracter.
Johnny’s former partner Vanessa Paradis, his daughter Lily-Rose Depp and his first wife, Lori Anne Allison have all come to his defence.
Paradis called the allegations against Depp “outrageous” and branded him a “sensitive” and “loving” person who was never violent in their 14 years together.
Allison, who was married to Depp f-rom 1983 to 1985, called him a “soft person”.
Other celebrities including Alice Cooper, Paul Bettany and Terry Gilliam have all leapt to Depp’s defence.
Apparently Heard’s supporters include Magic Mike XXL co-star Channing Tatum, Nicole Richie, fashion designers Michael Kors and Zac Posen, as well as talk show host Amanda de Cadenet and neighbour Raquel Pennington, who says she was present after the alleged phone attack, and that Depp was “screaming loudly” at Heard and wielding a wine bottle “like a baseball bat”.
The news comes as a series of explosive text messages, allegedly sent between Heard and an assistant to the actor, detailed a history of alleged violent incidents during the former couple’s relationship.
The exchange is believed to have taken place in May, 2014 prior to the couple’s wedding last year.
One of the messages apologises on behalf of a man believed to be the actor, stating: “When I told him he kicked you, he cried ... It was disgusting. And he knows it.”
The texts, which have been published by Etonline.com, are alleged to have been sent between Heard and Depp’s personal assistant, Stephen Deuters.
They date back to the year before Heard and Depp married in 2015, and appear to suggest the couple’s relationship was toxic long before the split.
They begin with a text, purportedly sent by Deuters, apologising on behalf of a man believed to be Depp.
“Think he’s just texted you. He’s incredibly apologetic and knows that he has done wrong. He wants to get better now.
“He’s been very explicit about that this morning. Feel like we’re at a critical juncture.”
The recipient, believed to be Heard, replied: “Yes but I don’t know how to be around him after what he did to me yesterday. I don’t know if I can stay with him.”
However TMZ reports that Deuters has denied he ever sent the texts to Heard and claims they were heavily doctored.
The website says Deuters will swear under oath that the conversation with Heard never took place.
Heard filed for divorce two days after an incident at their home, during which Depp allegedly smashed the actress in the face with an iPhone.
Police were called to the scene, but Heard is believed to have declined to file a report.
Depp, whose mother died just days before the incident, has so far only addressed the allegations through a spokesperson.
“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.
“Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
