Amazon unveils 20-city short list for $5 billion second headquarters

Amazon on Thursday unveiled its 20 finalist cities to built its $5 billion second headquarter, including New York City, Toronto and Denver.


Bulk of the finalists are on the east coast, which would give the Seattle-based company a foothold in the northeast.

Los Angeles is the only West Coast city to make the final cut, per a map released by Amazon on Thursday.

The Big Apple is up against a few other close cities, including Newark and Philadelphia.

Boston, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Indianapolis, Miami and Atlanta also made the final cut.

Amazon has shown interest in Washington, D.C., and northern Virginia, which could put the massive office in President Trump’s backyard.

The commander-in-chief has railed against the company for allegedly skipping out on taxes, while bashing Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his Washington Post.
