The “medical episode” occurred on September 11, a day both candidates had pledged to cease campaigning in honour of the largest terror attack in American history.
“I hope she gets well soon,” Trump said in the interview. “Something’s going on. I just hope she gets well and gets back on the trail.”
It comes as Clinton was forced to cancel a string of events in California as she battles pneumonia.
Trump said the results of his own physical will be made soon
Trump has previously made an issue of Clinton’s health. The Republican presidential candidate has claimed the commander in chief needs “physical mental strength and stamina” — and that Clinton “doesn’t have the strength or the stamina to make America great again”.This morning on @foxandfriends, @realDonaldTrump said “I hope [#Hillary] gets well soon.” https://t.co/vldtB77jEL pic.twitter.com/vjjXPSbk78

Jennifer Granholm, the former governor of Michigan and the current co-chair of Clinton’s transition team, suggested on Twitter that criticism of the first serious female presidential candidate is sexist.
“To press lamenting @HillaryClinton’s health/transparency: ‘powering through’ illness is what women do: Stoically, every. single. day,” she said.
Over the weekend, Clinton’s doctor released a note saying the Democratic candidate has “pneumonia.”
“Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies. On Friday, during follow up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia,” Dr. Lisa R. Bardack, Clinton’s personal physician, said. “She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule. While at this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated. I have just examined her and she is now rehydrated and recovering nicely.”
