4 year oldBernie Sanders has won Colorado's Democratic presidential primary, the Associated Press projected as polls closed there. The state has 67 delegates at stake.
Michael Bloomberg took shots at President Trump and tried to project confidence, as Super Tuesday election results showed him losing by wide margins to former Vice President Joe Biden in states his campaign had invested heavily in.
"No matter how many delegates we win tonight, we have done something no one else thought was possible," he said to supporters at his election night event in West Palm Beach, Fla. "In just three months, we've gone from just 1% in the polls to being a contender for the Democratic nomination."
Just miles away from Mr. Trump's exclusive club Mar-a-Lago, Mr. Bloomberg said: "Unlike the president, I didn't come here to golf or to reveal classified information to Mar-a-Lago members. I came here because winning in November starts with Florida."
Mr. Bloomberg also said he had focused on campaigning in competitive general election states Mr. Trump won in 2016, as opposed to other Democrats who focused on the first four Democratic nominating contests. "I'm running to win them back," he said.
He is scheduled to campaign in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Florida this week.
