It turns out that the home was sold to NPG Music Publishing, one of Prince's companies.
At the time, the house was listed as kind of a fixer-upper, with the real estate listing encouraging buyers to "revitalize this historic home which Prince featured in his Purple Rain movie."
Along with this house and Paisley Park, where Prince was found dead after an accidental drug overdose, the late legend also owned a number of properties in the area. In Chanhassen alone, Prince had acquired more than 200 acres, making him one of the city's largest landowners.
