Never one to back down to a troll – Cardi B has landed herself in hot water after posting a fiery response to conservative US political commentator Candace Owens’ harsh criticism of the X-rated performance. Owens is now threatening to slap Cardi with a lawsuit for “slandering” her family.
After tweeting that Cardi was “at her worst” during the first ever live rendition of rap hit WAP, the rapper responded by dredging up an allegedly fake tweet about Owens’ husband having an affair with her own brother.

At your worst, you are naked, shoving your vagina into another woman’s vagina while thrusting atop her.
You were at your worst on the Grammy stage.
Do better @iamcardib
Cardi’s explicit response, which cannot be published here, included a screenshot of the tweet in question from November last year in which Owens seemingly admitted to her husband cheating.
Owens replied by claiming the admission was “clearly photoshopped”, levelling another vicious swipe at the star.
“I am literally laughing out loud. Cardi. My dear. That is clearly a photoshopped tweet. Only one of us has a husband that sleeps around,” she wrote, referring to reports Cardi’s husband, rapper Offset, was caught cheating last year.
Throughout a series of follow-up tweets, Owens and Cardi B continued to debate the legitimacy of the tweet and rip into each other, with Cardi even bringing former First Lady Melania Trump into it via nude photos of her posing in GQ Magazine in 2000.

Responding to a follower, Owens said she would be “100% suing” Cardi for the comments about her husband and brother.
“Yes. Just spoke with my family. I am 100% suing Cardi for that nonsense. You can’t just start throwing out wild lies against private members of my family because you’re upset someone called your out on your degenerate performance,” Owens said.

It all kicked off after Cardi posted a clip of Owens speaking on Fox News, in which she said Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion’s performance “feels like we are looking at corrosion, like we are about to see the end of an empire”.
Owens then took to Twitter to call Cardi “a cancer cell to culture”.
Yikes.
