Gunshots have reportedly been heard in Ankara as well as outside the Istanbul Police HQ, while tanks are reported to be stationed outside the Istanbul airport. The state-run Anadolu news agency reports that 17 police officers have been killed in an aerial attack on the Golbasi special operations department in Ankara.
