    Munich prosecutors said Audi CEO Rupert Stadler was being detained due to concerns he might hinder an ongoing investigation into the scandal.

    The CEO of German car manufacturer Audi was arrested Monday as part of a probe by authorities into emissions tests cheating, the Munich prosecutor’s office said.

    In the wake of a police raid last week on facilities owned by the car manufacturer, which is a luxury car subsidiary of Volkswagen (VW), authorities confirmed that Stadler was under investigation.
