Apple Music will get a new interface at the company's developer conference in June, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The year-old music streaming service, which is a competitor to the likes of Spotify, Tidal and Pandora, will become more intuitive to use and will be better integrated with iTunes, Apple's music download business, the report said. The cluttered and confusing interface was the main complaint CNET had about Apple Music when we reviewed the service last year.

Apple's design chief Jony Ive is one of many high-ranking executives rumoured to have contributed ideas to the makeover, which is scheduled to be unveiled at WWDC, the annual Apple developer conference. It will be followed up with a new marketing push to try to persuade new subscribers to come on board.

Apple did not respond to a request for comment.
