It was clear the marriage of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth was in trouble when, just days ago, the singer was seen kissing another woman.

It’s only just been announced that Miley Cyrus’ marriage to Aussie heart throb Liam Hemsworth is on the scrap heap and already rumours are flying as to what — or who — caused it.

The celebrity couple announced the breakdown of their long relationship, but brief marriage, in the pages of People magazine.

“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy,” a statement from the couple said.

However, just days ago Cyrus was seen smooching with someone other than her hubby. In a case of exit stage left Liam, Kaitlynn Carter has emerged as Cyrus’ newest flame after the two were spotted kissing while on holiday in Italy.

The snaps emerged just as news broke that Cyrus and Hemsworth’s marriage had ended less than a year after tying the knot.

Adding fire to the flames, it was only last week that Carter, 30, announced she was separating from her partner of five years, Brody Jenner, 35, after a single year of marriage.

The couple had an elaborate wedding in Bali in June 2018 but a source close to the duo confirmed that the union wasn’t legal.

Carter and Jenner, the son of Caitlyn Jenner, announced they had “decided to amicably separate”.

Carter, originally from New Hampshire has reportedly moved out of the house she shared with Jenner in the A-list seaside community of Malibu in southern California.

Enter Miley Cyrus. She and Carter have been documenting their trip to Italy all week. The singer kicked off her posts with videos of herself dancing around in a bikini to Rock the Boat by the late Aaliyah.

The pair were pictured cuddling and kissing as they flaunted their toned bikini bodies at the Il Sereno Hotel, alongside Cyrus’ sister, Brandi

Despite their breakup, Jenner posted “Hot girl summer” alongside flame emojis in a flirty comment on an image Carter posted of herself with Cyrus.

Carter and Jenner had been together since 2014, with Jenner proposing in 2016. But their relationship had its bumps with their issues being aired on the reboot of the popular MTV show, The Hills.

Future episodes of The Hills: New Beginnings, which is available to stream on Foxtel, is expected to include explosive claims that the couple were actually in an “open relationship”.

“While I don’t have kids I’m gonna pretty much do what I wanna do and live for myself, as opposed to live for another human being,” Jenner said on the reality series.

“I think that’s why she wants kids, she wants me to change in that way.”

Carter, who is the founder of skincare brand selfé, the creative behind the style, beauty and travel blog Hey Miss Carter, and the co-founder of online clothing store, Foray Collective, never pictured herself doing reality television.

“I watched The Hills religiously, and I mean, I never in a million years thought I’d be on it,” she said about joining the cast of New Beginnings.

“For the longest time I’d always say no, I’ve had a lot of people approached me about that, related to my blog and being in the L.A. social scene,” she said in an interview with Fashion Week Daily.

“I’ve taken a meeting but it’s never felt right to me because I don’t want to be involved in a show that’s based on character drama. But I’d be interested in doing a reality show based on women’s careers in the blogging industry, and maybe the development of a start-up like Foray that focuses on situational drama.”

The fashion and beauty entrepreneur graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2010, with a bachelor’s degree in English before meeting Jenner at a party in 2013.

“He was really honest about what he wanted, no messing around, and I found that really charming and refreshing,” Carter told People.

“Pretty soon after we started dating, I though it could be for life.”

Jenner proposed at the same resort in Bali where they would eventually wed.
