Christmas won’t arrive for three more weeks but “Saturday Night Live” got an early present: When Congress voted on Friday to expel Representative George Santos, it was a bow-tied comedy gift that “S.N.L.” wasted no time unwrapping in this weekend’s broadcast.
The show led off with Sarah Sherman as the CNN host Wolf Blitzer, who promised an upcoming live conversation with Elon Musk (“so go ahead and sell your Tesla stock now,” she said).
She then threw to the steps of the U.S. Capitol for a news conference with Santos — played, perhaps for the final time, by Bowen Yang.
