The emergency dispatch audio regarding Perez Hilton’s hospitalisation revealed horrific details of the gossip blogger’s self-harm.
At 10.41pm on Tuesday night, US time, a “suicide attempt” was reported at the 48-year-old’s Miami address, reports Page Six.
Further graphic details were shared, which Page Six has chosen not to reveal.
Multiple units responded around 11pm to make entry into the house with police officers, stated the audio.
Authorities were present at the residence for hours.
Authorities were dispatched after “multiple calls” from concerned individuals about a person “lifestreaming acts of self-harm on social media,” Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Page Six.
“The individual has been safely recovered and transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to a local hospital, where he is receiving medical attention,” the statement continued.
“The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Crisis Response Unit and licensed mental health professionals are also on scene providing support and resources to the individual’s family.”
Hilton is a three-time dad to Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8 — but was reportedly “alone” in the house at the time.
A spokesman for Hilton told Page Six they “are aware of the concerning content circulating online” involving their client.
“At this time, we have not been able to make direct contact with him, despite our ongoing efforts to reach him,” his team added.
“Our primary concern is Perez’s health and wellbeing, as well as the wellbeing of his family. Until we have confirmed information, we will not speculate or comment further.”
Hilton, born Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr, made headlines for another hospitalisation back in March for taking flu medication on an empty stomach.
He “developed an ulcer and then a perforation and then sepsis,” spending three weeks in the hospital as a result.
The following month, the entertainment columnist underwent emergency surgery for a “massive” blood clot.
Hilton subsequently spoke out about finding God after his “miraculous” recovery from the life-threatening health scares.
