Miley Cyrus has ushered in her new music era with a sultry video featuring her drummer fiance.

Miley Cyrus has officially welcomed her new music era, promoting her just-released Bass Persuades album with a topless cover and a sultry video with her fiance Maxx Morando.
The pop star, 33, alerted fans to the release of her 10th studio album today by sharing a black-and-white snap of herself in nothing but a pair of underwear, heels and sunglasses.
“Thank you for celebrating this release with me,” Cyrus wrote alongside the snap on social media. “It’s a special record and it’s bliss to share with you.”

The steamy picture appears to be promotional material for Bass Persuades, which hit the airwaves today after being previewed by the lead single and title track on September 3.
The second single, titled Let’s Get Married, was released in tandem with the album, with a brand new music video that captures Cyrus in camcorder-style footage in the bathroom and bedroom of a hotel.
In one scene, Cyrus splashes around in a bubble bath, while another sees her frolicking in bed sheets in leopard print lingerie.
The video quickly sparked a fan frenzy, with one writing on YouTube that Cyrus “always writes such beautiful ballads” and another describing the clip as “beautiful”.
“I just love how Miley has matured as an artist over the years. Her vision, her style. She’s very edgy and I’m living for it,” a third fan wrote.
While the sizzling music video is dotted by other people, including a completely nude man in a shower and a naked couple embracing, it’s Cyrus and her real-life fiance who steal the show.
The couple are seen filming each other in bed before sharing a kiss in the bathtub, with the song’s lyrics and title mirroring their off-screen romance.
“Let’s go get married tonight,” the pop star sings. “I’m having visions of white.”
Cyrus confirmed her engagement to Morando, a 27-year-old drummer, in December of last year.
Since their reported first meeting on a blind date in 2021, the pair have stepped out together at the Oscars and Grammys in 2025, with Morando also seen at the premiere of the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary special earlier this year.
Ahead of the album release, Cyrus stirred controversy by saying in an Apple Music interview that fans “will come to me” while explaining her decision to wind down international tours.
“I’ve learned now that my calculations are correct, and people will come to me,” Cyrus told interviewer Zane Lowe.
The comments led some fans to brand Cyrus as “lazy” and “arrogant”.
“The level of laziness it takes to genuinely believe the fans should always be the ones travelling, spending money and making the effort while you sit comfortably at home is actually wild,” one X user wrote.
Cyrus revealed her decision to step away from large-scale tours back in 2023, citing the gruelling nature of life on the road as she maintains her mental health and sobriety.
Before Morando, Cyrus had high-profile relationships with Australian singer and athlete Cody Simpson, and actor Liam Hemsworth, whom she divorced in 2020 after roughly 10 years together.
