British TV host Simon Cowell continues to look unrecognisable after publicly swearing off Botox earlier this year.

Simon Cowell’s ever-changing look is continuing to cause a stir on social media, with the former American Idol judge attending a Christmas Carol event looking very fresh-faced for the holidays.

The music mogul, 63, looked barely recognisable at the Royal Variety Performance aired last week, with taut skin and plump cheeks that may have been the result of recent cosmetic enhancement.

And his most recent public appearance was no different.

Posting two photos to social media – one with his mini-me son Eric and fiancee Lauren Silverman — Cowell wrote: “We had a wonderful and inspiring evening earlier this month at the Christmas Carols night,” wishing his fans a “a very festive holiday season”.

Cowell’s appearance truly sent tongues wagging on social media last week during the broadcast of the Royal Variety Performance, at which he took to the stage to introduce Britain’s Got Talent winner Axel Blake.

“Just saw Simon Cowell on the Royal Variety Show. What has he done to himself? He looks really gruesome,” wrote one viewer.

Another added: “WTF have you done to your face lad?”

“Simon Cowell needs to stop having facelifts!,” wrote a third.

The star said he was done with Botox earlier this year, only to appear in a now-deleted video in early December looking decidedly dewy and smooth, with many comparing him to a “Madame Tussauds waxwork”.

In the eyebrow-raising clip, the British TV host encouraged people to contact him in order to audition for Britain’s Got Talent.

“I always say on this show, two or three minutes can change your life,” declared Cowell. “And it has. And maybe this time it’s gonna be you.”

He added, “So please audition now for next year’s season and I look forward to meeting you.”

But followers were distracted from the message of the video, sending comments soaring about his appearance instead.

“Um, can we talk about Simon Cowell for a moment?” said one concerned fan along with photos juxtaposing a still from his recent promo with an earlier photo of the talent show icon, in which he sported a more fully fleshed, natural-looking face.

“Madame Tussauds unveiled their new waxwork of Simon Cowell,” quipped another.

One Twitter wit sniped, “Simon Cowell’s face looks like if George Michael’s corpse was a playable character in Goldeneye.”

“He looks like his face melted,” another wrote.

The reason for Cowell’s shocking visage remains unclear. However, he has been vocal about altering his appearance in the past. His cosmetic procedures have included Botox, a 2018 facelift, a litany of facials, and teeth veneers after his scary e-bike crash in 2020.

However, Cowell claimed in April that he was done with getting Botox injections and fillers because it made him look “like something out of a horror film”.

“I reduced it, let’s put it that way,” the infamous curmudgeon told Page Six in November. “Everything in moderation.”

“There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far,” Cowell added. “I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognise it as me first of all.”

He claimed, “Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.”
